Technical Carbine Skills will take your level of efficiency in handling and shooting a semi-auto, AR style, carbine to new heights. This course is a primer on learning how to fight effectively with the carbine at close to intermediate distances!
While shooters of all skill level are invited, you are required to know and adhere to basic safe firearms handling rules. Participants should be physically prepared to exert themselves during this course as we will build up to a stress fire exercise at the end of class.
In addition to the fundamentals of marksmanship some of the topics covered during this course will include:
• Carbine Zero and mechanical offset.
• Reloads and malfunction clearance procedures.
• Shooting on the move primer.
• Positional shooting.
• Dry fire, skill development concepts.
• Weapons transitions, carbine/pistol.
• Proper use of sling.
Registered participants will be provided with further instructions and range directions prior to the course date.
Required equipment:
Range fee - $40, due the day of class.
Semi-Automatic Carbine, with sling attached.
Semi-Automatic handgun.
Minimum of 3 magazines for both your pistol and carbine.
Open top, non-collapsing holster and at least one magazine pouch, for the carbine and handgun, carried on belt line.
Belt suitable for securely supporting all necessary gear on the shooters belt line.
800 rounds of carbine ammunition, 100 rounds of handgun ammunition, minimum.
Dummy ammunition for the carbine, 5-10 rounds.
Knee pads/protection.
Snacks and hydration.
Open mind and positive attitude.
No Blackhawk Serpa (including variants) or collapsible nylon holsters please.
Course registration requires full payment (online/check/cash payments accepted) in order to secure your spot. The cancellation policy is as follows:
If the course registration does not meet the required number of students within 7 days prior to 9/28/24 or we have to cancel for any reason at all then a FULL refund will be offered to you or you may opt use the tuition credit to attend a future course.
Cancellations confirmed for any reason up to 9/21/24, as outlined in the individual course description, will merit a FULL refund. Cancellations confirmed after 9/21/24 will merit NO REFUND. However, you will be allowed to apply a credit for tuition to attend another course within 6 months of the original class date, 9/28/24. Failure to register and attend a course by 3/28/25 will result in a forfeit of your tuition.
Cancellations will only be received and confirmed though submission of our Cancellation Form on our website. Emails and/or any other forms of messaging will not be accepted for course cancellation.
*Special Note: Once a course has SOLD OUT, registration for that specific course will close. If you cancel any time AFTER course registration closes you will NOT receive a refund, regardless of the timeline, due to marketing being discontinued for the SOLD OUT course.
